一份成功的履歷表是可使對方快速、清楚地了解關於您個人的工作經歷、家庭背景、教育程度等與專業能力。
通常一份傳統的CV書寫內容長度是以不超過兩張A4為主的；太冗長的內容可能會使對方喪失耐心，而忽略在您CV中真正想表達的重點。 當然，CV的內容並沒有很硬性的規定您該寫些什麼?!所以您可以很自由地設計一份擁有個人風格的CV內容；但建議您有些標準的項目是不可以被忽略的:
- 您的全名
- 永久地址(包含戶籍地址、電話、e-mail)
- 通訊地址(不同於戶籍地址時)
- 出生年月日
- 國籍
將您的教育程度由最高學歷至高中或專科學歷依次列出；而高中以下的學歷則並非一定都要列出的。

在一份CV的內容結束之前，通常都會加上一段敘述有關於個人的興趣、嗜好、或者是已獲得認證的特殊技能(如能設計電腦軟體、使用某些電腦軟體…等，都可在這段落中列出)
如何書寫ＣＶ是完全掌控在您手中的；但原則是別忘記要寫出關於自己的理念、想法、興趣..等的這些重點，讓對方能以最快的速度的了解您!!
